The City Hall/ Marina bay area has a number of notable shopping centres that has a large variety of shops to buy things from. If you came to Singapore to shop, this is the route for you!

 Marina Bay Walking Guide

1. City Hall MRT Station

Take an MRT (on the North-South Line or East-West Line) to City Hall MRT Station.

2. Raffles City (2hrs)

The escalator into Raffles City is located directly at the exit of City Hall MRT Station. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee at Starbucks. Or have breakfast at a variety of eateries found at Basement 1 in and around the Market Place. For shopping, a number of upmarket brands could be found here. Most of the shops are only opened after 10am though.

3. City Link Mall (30min)

City Link Mall is not exactly a mall, but rather, it is an underground passage that links City Hall MRT Station to the Esplanade, Suntec City and One Raffles. Proceed back to the entrance of City Hall MRT station. Facing the entrance of the MRT station, City Link Mall is found on the left of the entrance. There are quite a number of mid to high budget eateries. Also, there are some retail shops for you to shop.

4. Suntec City (3hrs)

Follow the directions in City Link Mall and exit to Suntec City. You need to cross an overhead bridge to reach Suntec City. Around Suntec city, there are a large variety of shops to shop from- from branded stores like Polo Ralph to mass market retail stores like Giordano. If you are lucky, you might find interesting happenings at the Convention Centre, such as the Food Fair or the annual PC Show. At the basement, there is a large variety of restaurants that you can choose: from Indonesian food to Japanese food to Chinese food, etc. There are also fast food restaurants and a food court if you're on a budget. The Fountain of Wealth is also found at the basement. Between Towers 3 and 4, there is a cinema and a Singapore's first hypermarket (Carrefour).

5. Marina Square (3hrs)

Proceed to Level 2 of the Convention Centre at Suntec city. There is a pedestrian (overhead) bridge that links Suntec City to Marina Square. Here you can find more shopping. And of course, lots of food can be found at the Galleria section, Center Stage and the food court located above Center Stage.

6. Esplanade- Theatre By the Bay

At level 2 in Marina Square, go to the exit located next to "Mango" (a popular shop selling ladies' clothes). Esplanade is just across the road. Have a walk around Singapore's centre for the performing arts. Sometimes there are free events and performances at the outdoor theatre during the weekends. From there, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Marina Bay and Singapore's skyline (recommended to go at night). You may also want to take the River Taxi and enjoy the night view along the Singapore River.

7. Back to Hotel

Take a short walk back to City Hall MRT Station after a long day of shopping and sightseeing.
